Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Base Manager/ Office Manager to join our team. We are an Aerial Applicator and this position will be require extensive travel to remote base locations. The position is located in Outlook Saskatchewan and it is for the 2026 aerial ag spray season from May to September 2026

The Base Manager will be an individual with aerial application experience as well as administration and base management experience. The team that is being managed in Outlook SK consists of 5 people, A pilot, 2 ground crew, a class 1 driver and a trainee for Base Manager.

Base Manager – 40%

• be responsible to the Chief Pilot (located in Ontario) for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft dispatched from his/her base in Outlook SK;
• be responsible to the Operations Manager (located in Ontario) for matters concerning administration at his/her base (located in Outlook SK) including invoicing, marketing, flight sheet returns and accounts payable;
• be responsible for the scheduling and assigning of duties to pilots at his/her base in Outlook SK;
• be responsible for maintaining current pilot files on all permanent base pilots (in outlook, SK;
• maintain a close liaison with the PRM (Pest Management Regulatory Agency) and base AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer), if so assigned, to ensure maximum availability of the aircraft assigned to his/her base in Outlook, SK
• PIC- act as a licensed Pesticide Applicator (if a pilot) of company aircraft, assuming all the duties expected and required of a licensed Pesticide Applicator or (if not a pilot) facilitate the Pesticide Licensing training and the maintenance of that training for the duration of the season.
• Draft and Maintain SOP for the running of the base as well as health and safety manual.
• Training of a potential new base manager for the following season.

Office Management and Finance – 60%

• Ensure all employment documents are sent to head office in Ontario to be entered into the system in a timely manner
• Coordinate with head office in Ontario to ensure all employment documents are complete and up to date for the Outlook SK Base
• Credit card reconciliations for the Outlook SK Base
• Coordinate with head office on base accounting and managing bill payments for the Outlook SK Base
• Coordinate with head office and manage invoicing for the Outlook, SK Base
• Coordinate with head office on recruitment, onboarding and offboarding small team staff for the Outlook SK Base
• Coordinate head office in Ontario on Sales and Marketing for the Outlook SK Base
• Liaise with Customers and suppliers in Outlook SK
• seek out new contracts for spray application at remote bases in Outlook SK
• Managing and monitoring company device usage in Outlook SK
• Program cost analysis for the season at the Outlook SK Base
• Health and Safety coordination with Health and Safety Rep in Ontario
• Flight duty monitoring and recording at the Outlook SK base
• Provincial license renewals for the Outlook SK Base
• Fleet registration renewals for the Outlook SK Base
• Employee Expense tracking for the Outlook SK Base

Assistance is provided by our office in Ontario for all of these tasks so its manageable in day to day operations.

Qualifications:

• Proven management experience in an aerial field for a period of five years.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of account reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of SOP and Aerial/Base Requirements
• Experience with Aerial Application
• Familiarity with Sage Accounting software
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations efficiently
• Some sales and marketing experience is required
• Ability to Travel and live a remote base locations for an extended period of time.
